Looking westward down High Cup Nick

High Cup Nick is a deep glacial valley on the western slopes of the North Pennines. This great U-shaped cleft lies above and about four miles east of Dufton in Cumbria. The Pennine Way long distance footpath passes this way from Cow Green and upper Teesdale and along the southern rim of the cleft before descending down to Dufton and the Eden valley.
