The Giustiniani family were originally from Venice;by the time this engraving was made they seem to have fallen on hard times, because we see grass between the paving stones and a general state of slight disrepair. The picture was by Albert Kirchner and was reproduced in "El Mundo Ilustrado", The world illustrated, 1883.
