A gold-inlaid Persian kard, circa 1800 A sturdy dark wootz-Damascus blade with a cut back and a constricted, gold-inlaid ferrule. Gold-inlaid grip frame, decorated on top with floral ornamentation and a lion between antelopes. The bottom has golden vine decoration. Later ivory grip scales. Leather-covered wooden scabbard with a finely engraved and nielloed silver chape and a smooth silver locket.
