Pig. 177.—The mortality was low in all flocks during the six weeks of fattening, but highest in the dry-mash flock. {Based on Table 12) The dry-mash flock (58) showed highest mortality, which was due largely to natural causes and not to accident. (Fig. 177.) In appear- ance this flock was the poorest in the experiment. One chick which had previously been removed from 59 (powdered milk mash) because of accident, and had been counted in the mortality, was returned to the flock at the beginning of the fattening period.
