THALES MISSILE BELFAST WEAPONS NORTHERN IRELAND MOD DEFENCE CONTACTS
Lightweight Multi-role Missile on display at the Belfast factory, Friday 23 January, 2009. Britains Minister of State for Defence Equipment & Support (Min DE&S) Quentin Davies, MP, announced today Thales UK has been awarded a contract worth more than £200 million from the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) to deliver the Air Defence Availability Project in support of the Starstreak High Velocity Missile (HVM) system. The company, part of French defence company Thales, employs more than 500 people at its Belfast plant.
