PICOT EDGING is simply machine hemstitch-ing cut through the center. (111. 249.) It makes avery dainty and yet strong finish for edges of col-lars, sleeves, tunics, rufBes, sashes, etc. HAND-HEMSTITCHING is a line of openwork madeby drawing out parallel threads and fastening thecross threads in successive small clusters.
