A juvenile female Minke Whale Balaenoptera acutorostrata struggles to survive in shallow water off North Uist, Scotland.
On the 16th May 2014 on Balranald Beach on North Uist, Outer Hebrides a juvenile female Minke Whale (approx. 3-4 years old) was found struggling in shallow water. Within 2 hours the Whale had lost her fight for survival, became beached and died.
