Fuel cell research. Technicians studying the performance of a hydrogen fuel cell. This fuel cell combines hydrogen and oxygen (from air) to create electricity, heat and water as a by- product. Fuel cells do not have the moving parts associated with traditional energy sources such as engines, nor do they require recharging like a battery.
