The viewpoint from Klakkur is among the most beautiful in the Faroe Islands. Klakkur lies only a short hike from second largest town Klaksvík on Borðoy island. This attraction is a popular sight for travellers when in the northern islands in the Faroe Islands. Klakkur lies a comfortable 40 kilometres from Tórshavn. Klakkur is popular especially among landscape photographers. In order to get to Klakkur from the town Klaksvík, you will take the gravel road Niðan Horn. At the end of the road there is a small lake. You can park your vehicle just before getting to the lake. There is a wooden gate near the lake, go through the gate. You will go through a second wooden gate later. Then you go up a steady incline with stairs and after a while you will get to the base of a hill. From here, you go straight up and you will reach Klakkur.
