His glory went up with the flamesthat consumed him, like the funeral pyre of the King who thought toperpetuate his name on earth and secure everlasting blessing hereafter by havinghis body devoured by fire, and his spirit accompanied thither by the soul of aself-sacrificed wife and the burning of prisoners.
