Geographical Distribution of the Fungus. There is every reason to believe that in New York State this fungus is to be found wherever there are pears. I have collected it in three- fourths of the counties bordering the N. Y. C. and H. R. R. R. from Buffalo to New York, and it is also abundant in south central portions of the state, It has been sent to me from Pennsylvania, Maryland.
