A Celtic long sword,Central Europe,middle Latène period,3rd / 2nd century BC. Sword with preserved sheet iron scabbard baked firmly to the blade,finely worked chape and a suspension loop on the reverse side. Typically curved quillons,conical tang and and small pommel plate. Restored and conserved condition. Length 91 cm. Comes with an iron sword chain consisting of links of twisted wire. Length 44 cm.
