Spectators watch as the newly restored LNER A3 class locomotive “Flying Scotsman” prepares to travel from York to Scarborough on a final test run before its inaugural comeback journey from London King's Cross to York on Thursday 25 February. The locomotive, owned by the National Railway Museum (NRM), has been fully restored at a cost of £ million and in addition to featuring in a new exhibition at the NRM's York location will be hauling special trains throughout the UK in the coming months.
