Japonica Variegata—A hardy perennial from Japan, with long, narrow^ xeaves striped with green and white, throwing up stocks four to six feet high,, terminating with a cluster of flower spikes on which the individual flowers are- arranged; the flowers are surrounded with long, silky threads, which, when ripe or placed in a warm room, expand, giving the whole head a most graceful and beautiful appearance, not unlike that of an ostrich feather curled. 30c each,.
