If necessary, therefore, therestoring spring may be adjusted to control the armature back gauging may be controlled if required by independent massadjustment of the single wire contact rows. Fig. 11 shows this operationbeing performed by bending the bracket arm using a tool designed forthis purpose. The mass adjustment feature is expected to simplify fieldmaintenance practice.
