In 1835 a boar and sow were brought to Butler County, Ohio, from Albany, New York, while the Bagg and Wait importations soon found a market in Ken- tucky, Tennessee, Missouri, and the South. Important families of Berkshire pigs are worthy of note. Among these are the Duchess, of which Royal Duchess 900 by Othello 259 is the founder; the Sallie, descended from Sallie I by Duke of Gloucester I; the Charmer, descended from Royal Charmer 9082 by Exor 3891 ; the Lee, descended from Minnie Lee 14606 by Exor 3891 ; the Nora, descended from Nora B. 14052 by Liverpool Bob 10417.
