Nursery stock Ontario Toronto Catalogs; Flowers Seeds Catalogs; Plants, Ornamental Catalogs; Bulbs (Plants) Catalogs; Cereal grasses Catalogs. 44. EARLY RED ONTARIO" (NEW) THIS VARIETY EXCELS FOR EARLINESS, HARDINESS AND PRODUCTIVENESS This grand new wheat, which we introduced last year, has proved itself to be worthy the high recommendation we gave it, and is, without doubt, destined to become one of the most popular wheats in cultivation. It is exceedingly early and ripens four days earlier than either Early Arcadian or Early Genesee Giant, and after five years' trial has proved itself to be one of ihe best ever introduced. The heads are of good size, very compact, beardless, and with a white chaff. The grain is red, very hard, with a thin bran, and of excellent milling qualities. Straw of medium length, very strong, and will stand up on any soil. ITS EXTREME HARDINESS WILL RECOMMEND IT TO MANY GROWERS, AS WINTER KILLING IS THE SOURCE OF SO MANY FAILURES WITH FALL WHEAT IN THIS COUNTRY. A very heavy yielder, stools out well, and is very free from rust. We are con- vinced that in this variety we are offering a wheat which will prove a boon to the farmer who grows it, as it can certainly be depended on to give splendid results. Price, smal| lots by mail, post-paid, lb., 20c.; 3 lb., 50c.; larger quantities by express or freight at purchaser's expense. Per peck, 60c.; per bush., $; 5 bush lots and over, $ per bush. Bags, 20c. each. Nothing is more attractive than a nice bed of Tulips in flower in early Spring. Be sure and plant a bed, the cost is very small.
