Such a mass ofcells in a series eliminates the possibility of these formations beingsimply folds. The central cells of these ingrowths undergochanges, ultimately showing necrosis, and the necrotic masses ofcells may or may not be in contact with the surface. In the neck ofone of these formations in the superficial cells I found could not find organisms in the deeper cells and I am of theopinion that organis
