The movable metal letterpress types are seen stored in a type case at an antique print shop in Cali, Colombia, on March 5, 2024. The ancient process of letterpress printing (invented by Johannes Gutenberg in the 15th century) involves composing movable types into the bed of a press, inking them, and pressing paper against them to create an impression. Nowadays, due to a growing interest in retro (analog) technologies, many declining print shops have been revitalized by young artists, and this traditional craftsmanship is experiencing a comeback.
