The annual ceremony of Swan Upping on the River Thames in WIndsor.

Rowing skiffs carry the representatives of the Royal Household and the City Livery Companies of Dyers and Vintners during the annual ceremony of Swan Upping on the River Thames. Dating back to the fifteenth century, Swan Upping is a census, whereby the numbers, sizes and weights of that year's cygnets are recorded. Their ownership is established according to the birds' parentage.
