Hillary Moravek, a radiation therapist, left, and George Woods, a chief therapist, from the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth’s (NMCP) Radiation Oncology Division, demonstrate how the new Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator can be adjusted for optimal treatment of patients with tumors. The Radiation Oncology Division debuted a new Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator during the Jan. 25 open house and held a ribbon cutting for the $ machine that is revolutionary in the way it treats cancerous and benign tumors.
