Promenade, Waterlow Park, Highgate, London, UK - people walking and enjoying the sunshine; benches; trees; bushes;

Highgate is one of the most expensive London suburbs in which to live. Until late Victorian times it was a distinct village outside London, sitting astride the main road to the north. Waterlow Park is a 26-acre (11 ha) park in the south east of Highgate Village, in north London. It was given to the public ( the London County Council) by Sir Sydney Waterlow, as "a garden for the gardenless" in 1889.
