Orbits of Saturn's moons, illustration. There are 62 known moons of the gas giant planet Saturn, of which seven are shown here. The moon with the eccentric and elongated orbit is Iapetus. The moons shown here in order of their distance from Saturn (outer to inner) are: Iapetus, Hyperion, Titan, Rhea, Dione, Tethys and Enceladus. Six of them are the largest moons: Titan, Rhea, Iapetus, Dione, Tethys and Enceladus. Hyperion is one of the smaller moons. The largest moon, Titan, makes up 96 percent of the mass of the material orbiting Saturn. For this illustration without labels, see image C047/4585.
