I took this wildlife picture of a Pandion Haliaetus at the Circle B Bar Reserve near Lakeland, Florida. The Pandion Haliaetus is more commonly known by several common names such as the Osprey, western osprey, seahawk, sea hawk, pandion, osprey bird, fish eagle, fish hawk, or river hawk. It is a large raptor that feeds primarily on fish but capable of taking any prey that it can get its circular talons around. It is commonly seen near a water and food source such as a river or lake.
