S, 1794, and was the third of a family of four- 17> BATCHELDER teen children, several of whom lived tobe over 90 years of age. Her maidenname was Sally Ring, and when 27years old she married Andrew Batchel-der, of Loudon, X. II. Four childrenblessed the union, of whcim Col. CyrusT. Batchelder, with whom she lives, andSamuel D. Batchelder of Concord, X. 11.,survive. Her husband died in 1S52. In1-?; she removed with her son, Cyrus,to Lawrence, and one year later toSalem. After a residence of eighteenmonths in Salem they returned to Law-rence, where they remained until [868,when they came to this town and havemade their home here since. Her fatherdied when he was 90 years old. two ofher sisters lived to be 93, while twinbrothers lived to be the age of S4 and Batchelder is a remarkably wellpreserved woman. She is an early riser,and takes her meals regularly with thefamily. She goes up and down stairswithout assistance, dresses and undresses herself, and whenever the weather isple
