Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear congratulates members of the Kentucky Air National Guard’s 123rd Special Tactics Squadron after awarding the Kentucky Governor’s Outstanding Unit Citation to the squadron’s Airmen during Leadership Development Day at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Ky., Feb. 5, 2023. The award recognizes the unit’s rescue efforts following tornadoes and flooding that struck the Commonwealth in 2021 and 2022. The Airmen cleared 140,000 square feet of rubble at a collapsed factory, evacuated 40 flood victims and recovered four missing children.
