The image shows Captain N. B. Clinch, chaplain of the 129th Regiment Infantry and senior chaplain of the 33rd Division during World War One. The 129th Regiment Infantry, which was formerly the 3rd and 4th Regiment Infantry of the Illinois National Guard, was stationed in Cousenvoye, Meuse, France. The photo was taken by Lt. E. R. Estep of the Signal Corps in October 12, 1918 and verified by the censor.
