Wood Norton Hotel, Evesham, United Kingdom. Architect: Claridge Architects Ltd, 2013. View of Snug and hallway.

Claridge Architects have completed the £4m refurbishment of the historic Wood Norton Hall, creating a 4* boutique hotel for Bespoke Hotel Group. The hotel consists of 50 rooms across the Grade 2* listed manor house and outbuildings, set within 4,000 acres of outstanding natural landscape in the Vale of Evesham, near the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire. Built as a hunting lodge for the exiled French Duc d’Aumale in 1897, the estate was eventually sold to the BBC during World War II and subsequently used as a monitoring base, broadcasting centre and Doctor Who film set until the corporation converted it to a hotel in 1995.
