Altar con Ofrenda, the Archeological Excavations at the Great Pyramid of Cholula Mexico. This altar, constructed after the abandonment of the Great Pyramid and the Courtyards of the Altars, contained two severely deformed skulls of decapitated children in the way of an offering in front of it's stairway on its west side. According to custom, in periods of severe drought, children of six and seven would be sacrificed to the rain god Tlaloc.
