5TH FLEET AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (Jan. 26, 2012) Gunner's Mate 3rd Class Terrance Wells mans a 25 mm gun during a general quarters drill aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5). Peleliu is the flag ship for the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (15th MEU) , is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
