One of the most important features of WhiteSulphur Springs as a health resort is its water springs, as a rule, emerge fromlow levels and often from narrow valleys, wherethe atmosphere is more or less depressing. Thisinfluence is probably as often responsible for theenervating effects observed from treatment as isthe use of drastic waters and baths. White Sul-phur Springs, being situated at an altitude of 2,000feet, has a very bracing climate, which is neverdebilitating, even in mid-summer.
