Sony center, at Potsdamer Platz, was built 1996-2000 to the design of german-American architect, Helmut jahn, a master of glass and steel architecture. The big glass buildings of the center are situated around the Sony Plaza, a huge oval square with cafes, restaurants, stores and cinemas. The oval tent-like glass roof , constructed of steel ropes and poles 9seen here) is a spectacular feet of engineering.
