It differs, however, in its shorter rostrum, which is two thirds or four fifths the length of the carapace; in the shorter antennular scale, only slightly exceeding the first segment of the peduncle; in the shape of the antennal scale, which is broadly arcuate at the end, the blade exceeding the spine; in lacking an epipod on the second pereiopod.
