This new type is a cross between the Pansy and the Violet, combining the ideal properties of each. The flowers are much larger than the Violet, more like Pansies. but with the delicious fragrance of the former. The flowers are also quite free from central rays and markings, and the habit of the plant is decidedly dwarf and compact, producing its flowers on long foot-stalks, andtheyappear continually from early spring until late fall. The plants possess to a consid- erable extent the hardy and robust nature of the Violet, and make splendid pot as well as garden plants. The range of color runs througn white, buff, canary and azure blue and the coloring of each is exceedingly delicate and charming. For borders and beds they are just superb, each plant show- ing from 50 to 100 blossoms all the time. For early spring blooming they surpass all other Pansies 10 Violet Pai^sy Papilio. A decided novelty, and a cross between the Pansy and Violet. The flowers are Violet-shaped, large, and borne in endless pro- fusion, a plant showing from 20 to 40 blossoms every day from spring until late fall. Color, a lovely violet-lilac, in some plants darker than others, with a dark eye. For bedding purposes this new Violet Pansy is one of the best we have seen in a long time 5 Trailing Hollyhock. A hardy perennial vine which trails over the ground in a beautiful manner. It is really a miniature Trailing Holly- hock.
