THE CHUECH AND THE fourfold mission of the Church, says a wri-ter in the Baptist Union, is the salvation of theindividual; his edification in spiritual graces ; hiseducation in useful knowledge ; the evangelizationof the world through him. The young peoplessociety is one of the means through which theChurch is seeking to realize this mission. By itthe experience and wisdom of the older membersmay be projected into the future of the need be no rivalry nor jealousy between theold and young ; no seeking on the part of the oldto shift their responsibilities upon the young, noron the part of the young to displace the old. Thesociety affords an opportunity for age
