Stephen O'Brien, UN under-secretary-general and emergency relief coordinator, speaks to journalists during a press conference at the Sana’a airport in Yemen. During the visit O’Brien warned that people in Yemen are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance and threatened by famine, and urged all parties to the conflict to provide immediate and safe access to people in need. He also mentioned that the Houthi authorities had assured him they will open the routes for the flow of food and other humanitarian supplies
