A German cuirassier armet,circa 1620 Two-piece skull with a low turned-under comb,surrounding lining rivets,and a large plume socket riveted at the nape of the neck. Riveted neck guard with turned-under rim. Closable visor with a scalloped forehead part and a brim coming to a point. The face plate has five ridged bars. Closeable bevor with auditory openings of five holes on each side and original(?)fastening straps. The lower part of the laminated gorget is missing.
