Mr. Mauer-han has been one of the trustees for several years and for twenty years he was super-intendent of the Sunday School, a mark of distinguished recognition in itself. Hehas been a member of the board of trustees of the Katella school district, which iserecting one of the most modern of schoolhouses in the county, since 1915. Mr. andMrs. Mauerhan have shown their public spirit in every way and have given theirsupport to all measures that have been presented to them that had as their aim theupbuilding of the county and the betterment of social and moral conditions of thepeople.
