Lenticular clouds over Cho Oyu in Tibet
Cho Oyu on the Tibet Nepal border is the sixth highest mountain in the world at 8201 meters. It is a popular climb for people preparing to climb Mount Everest. Its name means turquoise Goddess. These characteristic lenticular clouds over the summit are an indication of dangerously high winds high up the mountain.
