OCATED only a few steps off the lobby on thefirst floor of Union Pacific Railroads 12-storyheadquarters building in downtown Omaha, Neb.,the Union Pacific Museum is within easy reach of allvisitors to the city. U. unique museum got its start quite modestly in1921 when Paul Rigdon, chief clerk in President CarlR. Grays office, showed Mr. Gray part of the silverservice from Lincolns car, which had been gatheringdust in a vault. Mr. Gray decided to start a museum in a small officeadjoining his quarters. For the next few years thecollection grew rapidly until the office was over-crowded. The museum was moved to its presentlocation on the main floor in 1 that year the motion picture Union Pacificwas premiered in Omaha with the celebration ofGolden Spike Days. Mr. W. M.
