Joseph Amenta, a native of Cromwell, Connecticut, assigned to the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), removes an intermediate gear box from a CH-53E Super Stallion assigned to the “Greyhawks” of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (Reinforced) 161 in the ship’s hangar bay. America, part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Asia Pacific region to strengthen partnerships and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
