Geiranger fjord in southern Norway is one of the most beautiful fjords. To quote Henrijk Ibsen's mother, 'The fjord is surrounded by the most steepest and most preposterous hillsides on the west coast. It is very narrow and has no habitable shore area, for the precipitous heights rise in sheer and rugged strata almost straight out of the water. Foaming waterfalls rise and plunge into the fjord from straight from jagged peaks. ,,,,,There are mountains and bridges that bear witness to the remarkable powers of man,,,,,,,,' Geiranger is also a World Heritage site founded by the United Nations.
