Tins, the third of the Elu or Elect Degrees, was intended toemblematically illustrate the reward conferred by King Solomonupon twelve of the Knights Elect of Fifteen who were instru-mental in bringing to justice the assassins of the Master BuilderHiram, constituting them Governors over the twelve tribes ofIsrael,—instructing us that the true and faithful Brother willsooner or later receive his just reward, and morally teaching usto be earnest, honest, and sincere, and to protect the peopleagainst illegal impositions and SUBLIME KNIGHTS ELECTED. THE ELEVENTH GRADE OP THE ANCIENT AND ACCEPTEDSCOTTISH RITE, AND THE EIGHTH OP THE INEFFABLESERIES. THE LODGE—ITS DECORATIONS, ETC. This Lodge is also called a Chapter, and is decoratedlike that of the Tenth degree, with the same hangings. It is lighted, however, by 12 lights, by threes, in theEast, West, North, and South—each three forming anequilateral triangle. OFFICERS, TITLES, ETC. Same as in the Tenth degree. The Chapter regularly consists of twelve membersonly. CLOTHING, ORNAMENTS, AND JEWELS. The apron is white, lined, edged and fringed withblack, and the flap black.
