WHEELER ARMY AIRFIELD - Sgt. Maj. Scott A. Byal was stationed aboard the USS St. Louis in World War II. The ceremony commemorated the 75th anniversary of the attacks on Wheeler Field, Dec. 7, 1941. Wheeler Field was among several sites to be attacked by the Japanese in addition to Pearl Harbor. More than 30 were killed and more than 50 were wounded in the attacks.
