Axis of Eve Truth Flashing
Axis of Eve stages a Truth Flashing in Battery Park during the Republican National Convention with the goal to 'expose and depose President Select George W. Bush.' The Axis of Eve is a political action group founded by several New York women who use their bodies and sexuality to spread subversive messages in order to mobilize people to vote in the upcoming presidential elections. Sexual double-entendres such as down on bush and give bush the finger are printed on underwear and tank tops that are for sale with other messages like weapons of mass seduction parodying the Bush administration's purported reason for the war in Iraq. The truth flashing is meant to show that effective political action can be irreverent titillating and exciting. Battery Park New York City NY September 1 2004
