It rained again on the 22nd and23rd. A man went out on the morning of the 23rd, and found theclay roads on either side of the bituminized stretch sofl and were skidding al I badly. The experimental stretch, how-ever, seemed hard and unaffected by the wei weather. The barthe condition of the day road adjacent to the treated surface afterricatles were taken down, and traffic has passed over it since. Nodeterioration was apparent up to the time that snow covered theroads. Heavy grain wagons, tractors, and the like, made marks inthe lop bituminous carpet, hut did not disturb the road bed. Autosquickly ironed out the marks left by the heavy vehicles. It was notexpected that traffic would have any destructive action on the roadSO long as dry weather prevailed. The real test will come duringthe rainy season of L924. However, it is encouraging to findno gross defects appearing i
