Specimens sent us from Georgia were received in perfect condition. We believe there is no doubt about its being the very best early yellow freestone in cultivation. July. BAN'NEIl-—Originated near Leam- ington. 2u years ago. Original trees have borne IG crops, several years bearing well when all other va- rieties in Ontario failed. Tree a good grower, exceedingly hard}- in both wood and bud. bears young, is very productive. Fruit large, deep 3'ellow with crimson cheek; flesh yellow, ex- cellent quality, rich, firm, equal to any as a keeper and shipper. Prof. W. W. Hilborn, Director of the Exp. Station at Leamington, Ont., has known it for many years, fruited it for several seasons ii;i experimental orchard and recommends it as the very best late market variety. Last Sept. or early Oct. MATHEWS BEAUTY—Originated in Georgia, where it has been thoroughly tested and is being largely planted as the most valuable succession to Elberta yet introduced. Its bearing and shipping qualities are fully equal to Elberta. it is a size larger, superior in quality, ripens about three weeks later.
