Korea. Children smiling and laughing for the camera as they look around Tumuli Park - an immense array of mounds of earth that are ancient tombs of royals or aristocrats dating back to the 3rd Century. This park, (known as daereungwon in Korean) has more than 20 tombs from the Shilla period. The tombs usually consist of a simple arrangement containing a coffin and items to be used in the afterlife. At the far end of the park is Cheonmachong (heavenly horse) tomb. It was excavated in 1974 and shows a beautiful galloping horse on birch bark and strung together with leather. It is still vivid and full of colour. There are 20 tombs in all.
