Smooth reverse surrounded by slightly raised rim. In the centre, the relief inscription "Hero of Socialist Labour", "II 55", just above in 1 mm high numbers. Secured to a standard 26 x 21 mm Soviet square mount by ring through suspension loop. The mount covered by a red silk moiré ribbon. On the reverse of the mount a threaded stub and nut.
