The Mad Hatter Tea Garden on the corner of Lombard Street and New Cross Street in Margate, Kent.
Although Margate has become characterised by economic decline in recent years, the old town near the harbour is developing into a flourishing artistic community with galleries, restaurants and coffee shops. This has been boosted by the opening nearby of the Turner Contemporary Gallery in 2011. The Mad Hatter's tea rooms feature an eccentric mix of all-year Christmas decorations and Vicorian bric-a-brac.
